7 Great Gift Ideas for the Crafter in your Life
Need gift ideas for scrapbookers? Below, you’ll find a list I’ve put together of things I would love to receive as a gift. Basically, anything that will help me create more beautiful things, or help store the stuff I already have will put me over the moon. So get out there an nurture their creative juices! Inspire!
What is the one thing every crafter needs? More storage of course! With so many options to choose from, really think about that your crafter needs. Do they have a desk already? If not this crafting desk is a beautiful choice. If that special someone you are shopping for already has a crafting station – why not buy them a peg board from home depot? Go on Pinterest for inspiration, buy some peg organizers and create your own beautiful, customized gift.
I love my Xyron sticker machine! It is so versatile. I use it to die cut alphabet stickers. You can also feed your ribbon through the machine so the ribbon lays flat every time without having to worry about the adhesive showing through on transparent ribbons. It also comes in a smaller size if space is an issue, but the larger version is much more versatile.
3) Gift Card
The gift that never fails! Be is an Amazon Gift Card, Michaels Gift Card, Etsy or anything else. You really can’t go wrong just letting someone pick whatever fits their fancy.
4) A New Journal
What better thing to get a scrapbooker than a new journal to craft away in?! Try encouraging them to try something new by getting them a Smashbook, a Wreck This Journal or a Bullet Journal (check out this page on Starting a Bullet Journal for more info on bullet journals). You might also want to consider making a DIY kit and getting them some beautiful new pens to go with it! I love the Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
5) A Photo Printer
I use the HP Portable Photo Printer. It is bluetooth enabled and small, so I can bring it with me on trips and is just generally easy to carry around and store. The image quality is amazing and the photo paper isn’t too badly priced. Help your scrapbooker never have to worry about not having enough photos! You can also edit them on your phone before printing to get that filtered look.
6) A Class
Personally, I have always wanted to take a book-binding class. The thought of learning to make my own journals and scrapbooks brings joy to my heart. This coming week I am taking a watorcolors class and I have a card making class scheduled for later in the month. Help your crafter improve their skills and help their hobby flourish by encouraging them with a class that will add to their arsenal of knowledge.
7) A Craft Subscription Box
Studio Calico has my favorite scrapbooking subscription box. They offer kits for scrapbookers, planners and more. As well as lots of workshops and a good community. If you just google craft subscription boxes you will find a plethora of others to choose form as well.
